Statue of Unity:

Location: It is located on the river island facing the sardar sarovar Dam on river narmada in Kevadia Colony.

I visited the place in 1st week of May, which is quite hot but due to the availability of modern facilities like escalators and lifts the visit was made easy and pleasant. It looks grand in the evening with all the lighting.

What to see: viewing Gallery , museums & audio visual gallery, valley of flowers and sardar Sarovar Dam.

Tickets: Costs Rs. 340 per person will allow you to visit : viewing Gallery , museums & audio visual gallery, valley of flowers and sardar Sarovar Dam. Tickets are also available online but will suggest you to buy from the ticket counter on weekdays only. weekends are busy

Bus Ticket: Rs 30 per person.

Sardar Sarovar Dam which looks spectacular during monsoons ( June- July) when water overflows but boating will not allowed that time.

How to reach: The easiest way to reach statue of Unity is by road from Vadodra. It is approx 90 kms.

Swami Narayan Mandir , Poicha.

Location: It is located in Poicha near Rajpipla , narmada district in Gujarat. It is approx 60 kms from Vadodra .

What to do: Nilkanth Prabhu Arti , Sahajanand universe, Navka vihar, Light show.

Shahajanand Universe is the amusement park . Timing: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. Ticket costs Rs 140 per person and boat ride for rs. 40 per head.

Light Show timing is 7: 00 pm to 10:00 pm.

The temple also provides stay facility for the visitors at a very nominal price. One can spend the entire day starting from morning arti , then visiting the amusement park & navka vihar and watching the light show at night , which is the best part.
