How I save on Ticket booking

I started this blog to share my tips on budget travelling. Today I will update you on how you can save money and time both while you travel to places on your bucket list. (If you are placed in North India preferably Chandigarh or places nearby)

Whenever I plan to travel, 2 things I keep in mind:

1st I have to save time because time is money and I don’t want to waste my time while commuting.

2nd to save money.

So I prefer to travel with a mix of train and air (though it seems that travelling by air is bit expensive but it is not rather you can save a lot of money by air travel.

Below is flight booking tips:

  • Always book your flight from New Delhi (if you are north based), as flights from New Delhi are the cheapest.
  • Book tickets in advance at least 2-3 months (tickets will be almost same amount as tickets for 3rd AC in Trains, so there is comfort plus commuting time reduced like crazy.

Reaching New Delhi Airport from New Delhi railway station.

In my recent Journey to Dwarka I found out the easiest way i.e Airport Express Line to reach New Delhi airport from New Delhi railway station in almost 15-20 minutes.

New Delhi to Airport Metro station Route (Airport Express Line)

New Delhi – Shiva Ji stadium- Dhaula Kuan- Delhi Aerocity ( Feeder bus available on right side of exit for T1- New Delhi Airport T2 & T3 – Dwarka Sector-21

Just 10 minutes walk from New Delhi railway station  (on one side of station is Paharganj and other side of station is Ajmeri gate)  is Ajmeri gate metro station is there, you can also hire a coolie if you have more luggage.  From the Ajmeri Gate Metro station you can choose the airport express line.

Frequency of metro train is 10 minutes. Also cloak room service is available on all the station on the Airport express line route.

Ticket Fare:  60 INR ( from New Delhi)

Wow so easy and cheap….
